In this article, I have a little treat for you that I stumbled across in a moment of quiet reflection.
As busy people in a busy world we often forget to take some time out to slow down our thinking, to reflect and to hit the refresh button.
You may find that this treat will soothe your soul and spark your creativity.
So how did I stumble across it?
Last weekend I was checking out some royalty free music that I can use for business purposes. While I was flicking through the various songs, a particular track caught my attention.
Why did it catch my attention?
Well, I instantly found myself in a beautifully peaceful state and timeless presence of mind.
That kind of state that touches your heart and soul with love and humility. One where you feel a deep sense of appreciation for your own humanness and glorious fallibility.
Where you feel connected with the universe and all things living from a place of compassion, kindness and oneness. Where you see the world from a place of beauty and wonder.
A place from which your light is shining bright!
Why does it matter?
It has been a turbulent year. The events of 2020 have affected many of us and our lives in some way or another. They have challenged our resilience, our adaptability, our wellbeing and with that our sanity. And if we are lucky enough that they haven’t affected us personally, we most likely know people who it has.
What I am trying to say is this … the world needs a bit of a break! Amongst many other things, it needs a little tender loving care. Tender loving care for each other in the shape of compassion, kindness, and love.
And what if that compassion, kindness and love came from you? and from you? and from you? and from … you get where I am pointing with this?!
One bee versus many …!
As they say, one bee may not make much of a difference, but when all the bees beat their drums, so to speak, the world is in for a treat.
Now is a good time as ever to inject a bit of your light into the community that you serve!

The universe works in magical ways!
Ok, back to the music track. While I was initially enjoying listening to the track and bathing in the feeling of it, and this was way past my bedtime, a thought came to mind. Yep, one of those ideas that pop up when the busy mind isn’t looking.
Over the last few years, I have created a number of posters with quotes and short messages which I have called ‘MEMES worth spreading’. Inspirational food for thought ideas and messages that relate to life in general as well as to business and leadership.
So, the idea that popped into my head, while I was enjoying the moment, was that of a slideshow of these posters accompanied by the music track.
And voila, by the end of the weekend, I’ve curated a collection of the posters into an 8 minute video clip ready for human consumption and enjoyment.
The moral of this story is …!
The moral of this story is not so much about what’s been created, the final product. But what’s doing the creating. The space, the creative energy, that the idea came from.
The same energy that you and everyone else has access to and from which your own creative ideas arise.

Having said that, the final product turned out to be a treat.
You might find the clip refreshing to the soul and helpful in creating the space where your mind quietens and the creative intelligence makes itself available to you.
You may use it to:
- just wonder and ponder
- take time out to recharge your batteries during a busy day,
- create the space from which you find clarity and insights about challenges or problems that you need to solve
- reflect on and explore new ideas and opportunities
