The world is changing. Climate change, global health threats, technological advances and market disruptions are happening at an increasingly rapid speed. This is greatly affecting organisations’ ability to adjust fast enough to the changing environments that they operate in.

Today’s business conditions are described as Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA). Being able to adapt to those conditions requires more fluid and purposeful organisational cultures.

Cultures that think as a community and that draw from its collective wisdom and diversity. That allow for distributed decision making and problem-solving, and that have a learning philosophy …

… are naturally more alive, flexible, adaptive, resilient, and creative in nature.

To develop and enable those cultures, leaders need to reinvent themselves.  They need to see the world with fresh eyes, be fluid in their thinking, be comfortable with the emerging nature of living systems, be an enabler of people, and know how to collaborate and how to inspire collaboration. Change and Leadership with Emergence

Unlike more transactional type programs, Mike approaches change and leadership from a place of emergence. That means not rushing into establishing finite and often rigid end points and then forcing the change. Instead allowing change and leadership emerge around fresh thought, new ideas and insights that arise from deep and reflective conversation.

A coaching and facilitation methodology will be the main approach. With the purpose of creating the space where the participants can step outside the boundaries of intellectual thinking, and reach into their deeper potentials to raise their level of awareness and to gain new insights.

Time Frame (It’s a journey)

To ensure that there is enough time for transformational change to take place and any new behaviours and practices from that are embedded into your daily operation, you should allow for this coaching program to run over a period of 6 to 12 months.

 

Coaching through the inside-out, apart from quietening your mind, will also arouse your curiosity and engage your playfulness. It will make you reflect, raise questions and equip you with new tools in the way you think, behave, communicate, relate to and influence your environment. It will allow you to explore new possibilities about your ability to respond to the challenges and opportunities around you.
